Home Away from Home

This second home is currently the owners’ vacation home, and will ultimately be their retirement home. It was time to customize the space to make it feel more their style. The master bath shower has plenty of elbow room, with a sun-kissed bath ready for relaxation. The porcelain tile used on the floors, shower pony wall, and tub facade blends beautifully with the sienna beige granite countertops and travertine accent tiles. Canyon Creek Katana cabinetry finished in espresso adds rich contrast to this natural color palette.

Coordinating finishes were used in the guest bath and kitchen to keep a unified feeling throughout this home, including the granite countertops, which have created a grand island in the kitchen, the centerpiece of an open kitchen and living room floor plan. The resident chef will enjoy the convenience of the pot filler mounted above the 5-burner gas cooktop, which has been artfully installed amongst the accent tiles on the travertine backsplash.
